Thank you for visiting our website. We take the protection of your data seriously. This website works without cookies, without tracking and without advertising. Below you can find out which data is processed and when.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. A data processing agreement has been concluded with STRATO. When you visit the pages, the server automatically stores technical information in so-called log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page. This data is required for the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is automatically deleted after a short time.

3. No cookies, no tracking

We do not set any cookies and do not use any analytics or advertising services. Fonts and program code are loaded exclusively from our own server.

4. Availability calendar and price calculator

The calendar only loads the booked periods and the prices from our server. Your selection in the calendar (travel dates, number of guests) is processed only in your browser and is not transmitted until you send an enquiry.

5. Booking enquiry via the form

When you send an enquiry using the enquiry form, we process the data you provide: name, e-mail address, optionally phone number and postal address, travel dates, details of the guests (including whether a tourist-tax reduction is requested) and your message. The details are sent to us by e-mail; you receive an automatic acknowledgement. The content of the enquiry is not stored on the web server.

The purpose is to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to carry out the booking; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). If no booking results, we delete the enquiry once it has been dealt with. If a booking is made, we keep the data for as long as necessary to process it and beyond that in accordance with statutory retention obligations (e.g. up to ten years for invoices).

To protect against misuse, we store a non-reversible check value (hash) of your IP address for no more than one hour in order to limit the number of enquiries per sender (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Map (OpenStreetMap)

On some pages we show a map from OpenStreetMap. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. When the map is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap servers so that the map tiles can be displayed. The European Commission has issued an adequacy decision for the United Kingdom. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in clearly showing the location (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More information: OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

8. Links to other websites

For links to external pages (e.g. shipping company, webcam, weather), the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. Data is only transmitted when you click on such a link.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time (Art. 21). Simply contact us using the details above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, which is responsible for us.

10. Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise it by the padlock symbol and “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
