Getting here
Borkum is reached by ferry or catamaran operated by AG Ems – either from Emden or from Eemshaven in the Netherlands. Current timetables and tickets are available from the shipping company.
Via Emden
Emden outer harbour is easy to reach by car and by train. You can take your car with you or leave it in the large car park at the harbour. The crossing takes about 2 hours by ferry and about 1 hour by catamaran.
Via Eemshaven (NL)
Eemshaven can be reached by car and now also by train. Here, too, you can take your car or leave it in the large car park. The crossing takes about 1 hour.
On the island
The island railway takes you straight to the station – from there it is just a 5-minute walk through the pedestrian zone to the house, with a supermarket on the way. By car you can drive up to the door to unload, then park in one of the public car parks (5 minutes on foot).
